COVID Initiatives

As Victoria moves into the next phase of management of the COVID pandemic, small businesses are reviewing their procedures to ensure that they are providing a COVID safe environment for their customers. Ensuring a safe workplace is based on 6 principles:

  1. Ensure physical distancing (1.5 metres).

  2. Wear a face mask.

  3. Practice good hygiene.

  4. Keep good records and act quickly if staff become unwell.

  5. Avoid interactions in close spaces.

  6. Create workforce bubbles.

Zest Personal Training, under the guidance of Fitness Australia, has completed a COVID Safe Plan and registered it with Fitness Australia.

At Zest, we are doing everything within our control to ensure that the studio is a safe working environment that you can attend stress free, to concentrate on improving your health and wellbeing. All surfaces are cleaned at the end of each session, using methylated spirits (or Glen 20 if the surface is porous), whilst you are doing your stretches, so you are able to observe the strict cleaning regime. Group classes have been suspended and the studio is utilised for 1 on 1 personal training.

When we first became aware of this pandemic in March 2020, we saw many limitations in place. One thing that has been recognised by all authorities and has been allowed in all situations (except isolation) is that 1 hours exercise per day is needed for our health and wellbeing. This has been placed as an acceptable reason to leave the home, along with going to work, grocery shopping or getting medical treatment. This unanimous support of physical activity highlights how important it is.

As we enter into the post lockdown society, it is possible to broaden your exercise regime, utilising the services and facilities available at Zest. Now, more than ever, it is important to be the healthiest that you can be, to improve your health and immunity through good lifestyle choices. At Zest Personal Training, we are happy to help and support you with this, providing personalised training and nutritional advice.
